Xiaomi on Thursday launched its "Desh Ka Smartphone" Redmi 5A. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer will sell the device at an introductory price of Rs 4,999. This special price will be only for first 5 million buyers of Redmi 5A. Thereafter, it will be available at higher price of Rs 5,999 for the 2GB + 16GB variant.

The Redmi 5A has a 5-inch HD display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, and a 3000mAh battery. The device runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat out of the box.
